Pittcon 2011 Announces its Annual Call for Topics Conferee Networking Sessions

New CCD Image Sensors for Improved Etaloning Near IR
 01 Jul 2010: Back-thinned CCDs have exhibited problems of etalation in the near IR, which is problematic in applications such as Raman spectroscopy. The new improved S11071 series from Hamamatsu Photonics addresses this problem and has been specifically designed to reduce this etaloning effect, making it suitable for a wider range of applications, including medical.

Pittcon to Participate in International Year of Chemistry (IYC)

18 May 2010: Agilent Technologies Inc. today announced that its acquisition of scientific-equipment maker Varian, Inc. is now final. Agilent paid approximately $1.5 billion in cash for Varian in a deal that brings together two Silicon Valley pioneers.
