15 Oct 2009: The 2010 Technical Program listing of sessions is now available on the Pittcon website. The Technical Program begins on Sunday, February 28 and closes on Thursday, March 4, 2010 and will consist of 62 Symposia, 28 Organized Contributed Sessions, 120 Oral Sessions, 8 Workshops, 45 Conferee Networking Sessions, and 88 Poster Sessions.

Life Technologies to Sell Mass Spectrometry Business to Danaher for $450 Million in Cash
03 Sep 2009: Life Technologies Corporation today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its ownership stake in its mass spectrometry business, operated as a joint venture, to Danaher Corporation for $450 million in cash. Danaher has also signed an agreement to acquire Life Technologies’ joint venture partner in the mass spectrometry business, MDS Analytical Technologies, a division of MDS Inc.
